ILO boycotts Burma over slavery

THE International Labour Organisation is being urged to boycott all dealings with Burma for failing to end its practice of forced labour.

Unions and employers group regard the practice as a “contemporary form of slavery”.

According to the ILO, as many as 800,000 people were coerced into working into working without pay, some of them on farms.
