Infants scoop arty prize
The infant class from the FitzHerbert Primary School, Fenny Bentley, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, has won the national section of the Hydro Agri/FarmWorld school art competition (Farmlife, Oct 14) and a cheque for £250.
The pupils, who are from a rural area and taught by farmers wife Sue Hall, a former chairman of the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, produced a set of pictures on the theme of The Farming Year which have gone on permanent display at CWS Agricultures farm-park near Leicester.
The Leicestershire section of the competition was won by pupils from Thurnby Lodge Primary School, who completed a colourful display on the story of The Little Red Hen.
