Introducing Trac 200

GERMAN tractor manufacturer Doppstadt has extended its line-up with the introduction of the Trac 200 – a 200hp machine having front and rear linkages, and mounting points for implements such as timber cranes.

Power is provided by the new Mercedes 906 Series engine which drives through a six-speed, four-powershift transmission. This box combines with a further 16 creep speeds and a shuttle control to provide a total of 40 forward and 40 reverse gear ratios. Top speed is rated at 50kph.

Pto equipment extends to a 540 and 1000rpm shaft at the rear and 1000rpm at the front.

The Trac 200 weighs in empty at 8t but the manufacturer has made provision for a maximum loading of 12t – enabling the tractor to be employed for a wide range of implement carrying duties.

For maintenance purposes, the ability to tilt the cab through 35 degrees and for the fuel tank to be slewed out provides access to the components located below. Other swing out parts said to improve maintenance and repair accessibility include the radiator and electronic modules.

If specified, Doppstadt will provide the 200 with all wheel steering – front only, four wheel, off-track, crab and rear axle only steering. &#42
