Irish concern over OPdips

IRELANDS National Drugs Advisory Board has submitted a report on organophosphorus sheep dips to the Department of Health.

The IDB says it is concerned about the acute dangers to health from the careless use and disposal of OP dips. It is also concerned about reports suggesting that longer-term health damage may be caused by low level exposure.

Officials say the report, which was called for by Irelands health minister, will form the basis of discussions about the future availability of OP dips.
