Italian range is aimed to pull in the punts…
A buoyant Irish machinery market led to record attendance at this years All Ireland Ploughing Championships – an event which was also the venue for the countrys largest machinery show.

Hurlimann tractors made their debut at the All Ireland Ploughing Match after the June announcement by Same-Lamborghini-Hurlimann.
THE new Hurlimann models from Italian tractor giant Same-Lamborghini-Hurlimann (SLH), first announced in June, made their British Isles debut at last weeks Irish National Ploughing Championships.
Like the UK, the formerly Swiss-built tractors will be shipped from Italy to Ireland by Zetor importer, Motokov, and the first batch of production machines is expected to arrive by mid-October.
Motokov Irelands sales manager, Kevin Twomey, sees no conflict between selling the two brands and expects many of his dealers to take on a dual franchise.
"The high-tech, high spec Hurlimann models actually complement the Zetor machines – theres no clash. The time is right for Hurlimann in Ireland where theres now a bit of money about for a high comfort model."
Liveried in pale green, the Hurlimann models are SLHs premium machines but have not been sold in either the UK or Ireland for more than 10 years. For their re-entry to the British Isles, nine four-wheel-drive models will be offered under three names – XT, Elite and Master.
From 85-105hp, the XT range comprises four models of which three are powered by four-cylinder turbocharged engines while the flagship is fitted with a six-cylinder naturally aspirated unit. Standard specification includes mechanical hydraulics, auto engagement/disengagement of 4WD and diff locks, and four-wheel braking. Electronic hydraulics are an option. A number of gearbox options are available, topped by a 60F/60R (40kph) semi-powershift unit.
The three mid-range Elite tractors are powered by six-cylinder engines – one turboed, two not – through a semi-powershift box. The standard box gives 36F/36R speeds, while a 48F/48R option is also available. Electronic hydraulics and performance monitoring equipment are fitted as standard except on the H-6115M base model.
Completing the line-up are the intercooled/turbocharged 165hp and 190hp Master models, the H-6165 and H-6190.
Although Motokov (Ireland) will start supplying Hurlimanns within the next three weeks, Motokov UK does not expect to receive tractors for England, Scotland and Wales until mid-November.
