Lamb prices on the up again
LAMB prices, having apparently reached their seasonal low, are now rising again.
Mondays average price was just under 122p/kg lw, up nearly 9p on the previous week and over 30p/kg above the level recorded on the corresponding day in 1995.
This years low-point looks likely to be the 104.52p/kg recorded in the week ended Jul 27. Last summer and autumn, prices were below the 100p/kg-mark for a 13-week period, bottoming out at 85p/kg in late August.
