Leics is top of judging
LEICESTERSHIRE fielded the top team in the stock judging and carcass judging competitions at the National Primestock Show held at Bingley Hall, Staffs. Gloucestershire was second and Gwent third.
The Meat and Livestock Commission sponsored the competitions and the results of the competitions were as follows:
Equal 1: David Marsh and Ben Ensor, Gloucestershire and John Goodwin and John Lawrence, Radnor; 3: Sally Liggins and Sandra Beaumont, Leicestershire.
Individual awards – senior: David Marsh, Gloucestershire; intermediate: Catherine Price, Gwent.
1 Bridget Rowlands and Richard Harris, Glamorgan; equal 2 Nigel Owen and Wayne Davies, Montgomery and Carol Wickens and Karen Audis, Worcestershire.
Individual – senior: Carol Wickens, Worcestershire; intermediate: (equal) Richard Harris, Glamorgan and Wayne Davies, Montgomery.
