Like good old days

"JUST like the good old days," said auctioneer Edward Brown after the dispersal of the Bellbrow herd of Holstein Friesians at Carlisle.

"To sell such a wonderful herd of cows was a privilege and to see them achieve a good average was hopefully a sign of things to come," said Mr Brown.

The 260 in-milk cows and heifers from Len Skeltons herd at Welton averaged £920.

About 40 cattle made over four figures and although cows sold to 1700gns it was a yearling bull, Hayleys Manzell, that led the trade at 3500gns. &#42
