A tractor and farming equipment were stolen in an overnight raid on a farm in Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses after a Massey Ferguson 390 tractor – registered number L122 UGB – and a Massey Ferguson 38 Cultivator worth a total £10,000 were stolen.

The thieves struck between 6pm on Friday 2 October, and 8.30am on Saturday 3 October at a farm on the outskirts of Strichen, Aberdeenshire.

Investigating officer PC Camilla McIntosh said: “We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have knowledge of these distinctive pieces of farm equipment. 

“We would also urge anyone who may be offered equipment similar to this to come forward with details.”
