McCormick goes green
FLEDGLING tractor maker McCormick is set to expand its range by aiming principally at the green keeper market – although there may be a degree of overlap with the agricultural division.
The Italian-built GX and the hydrostatically powered GXH ranges offer tractors with 35hp, 40hp and 45hp using four-cylinder Yanma engines. Transmission on a mechanical version comprises a 12 x 12 box as standard with an optional four-speed creep range.
Available in two or four-wheel-drive – powered front axles have the drive shaft running through the axles and down to the wheel hubs – rear linkage capacity is rated at 1.2t and the pto outputs at 540 and 750rpm.
Price of the 40hp GX45 is listed at £13,664. *
