MFHs deny breeding fox cubs in captivity

A SPECIAL inquiry by the Masters of Fox Hounds Association claimed it had found no evidence of involvement by any of its members hunt staff in rearing fox cubs in captivity for hunting purposes.

Its denial follows the League Against Cruel Sports video footage last week showing two fox cubs trapped in a cage on land owned by the Sinnington Hunt in North Yorkshire.

The anti-cruelty group alleged the hunt planned to use the cubs for hunting in the autumn. Ben Stewart, league spokesman, said it was not surprised that the hunting fraternity was “incapable” of regulating themselves.
