Midland farmers to launch assurance scheme

ARABLE farmers in the Midlands who are dissatisfied with the Assured Combinable Crops Scheme are to launch their own go-it-alone assurance scheme for cereals.

The Midland Farmers Action Group will launch its alternative whole-farm assurance scheme tomorrow (Friday)

The group believes its Genesis Assurance Scheme, covering all major farm enterprises, will standardise existing and competing assurance schemes to the benefit of both farmers and consumers.
