Milk chiefs salary
MILK Marque producers are paying chief executive Andrew Dare an annual salary of £167,000.
Although Milk Marques recently published report and accounts lists the highest paid directors recompense at £69,583, that was only for the five-month period from Nov 1 to Mar 31 this year.
The rewards for other dairy industry leaders vary. Chairman of Northern Foods, Christopher Haskins accepted responsibility for his companys poor performance and took an 18% cut this year, bringing his salary down to £151,000.
Dairy Crests chief executive, John Houliston earns £237,000 and Ross Buckland, chief executive of Unigate, tops the tree with an annual salary of £562,000.
