DALGETY has sold its last remaining feed mill to BOCM Pauls.
This disposal marks the final stage of Dalgetys quitting the livestock sector to concentrate on its arable business.
The feed mill at Peterborough was sold for an undisclosed sum, and all 20 staff will continue to work at the plant for BOCM Pauls with immediate effect.
Pig and poultry producers in the Peterborough mills trading area have been told business will continue as usual and compound feeds will be available from the new owners.
BOCM Pauls managing director Bill Mayne said the acquisition represented a further step in the companys plans to grow its core animal feed business.
Despite the difficult marketplace, particularly in the pig industry, this significant investment is a visible sign of BOCM Pauls “long term commitment to British Agriculture,” said Mr Mayne.
