Ministers to meet on GMOs
COUNTRIES wanting stricter controls on genetically modified crops are expected to hold the upper hand when the worlds environmental ministers meet later this month to set rules for handling GM technology.
Opposition to regulation of GM technology by six countries, led by the USA, thwarted plans to introduce controls last year.
The Guardian forecasts that opposition to GM crops will be stronger this time around.
