Mink activists strike again

ANIMAL activists have struck at fur farming again, this time releasing up to 2500 mink from a breeding farm in Staffordshire.

The animals were released early this morning from a farm at Onneley, near Madeley. The militant Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is thought to be responsible.

The ALF last month released an estimated 6000 mink from a farm near Ringwood, Hampshire. About 1000 of those animals are still at large.

The ALF wants the Government to ban the farming of mink for fur. There are 15 mink farms in the UK.
