MLC unit aiming for good communication
COMMUNICATING technical information to the industry will be a key objective of MLCs Stotfold pig development unit.
Funded by BPEX, as part of its new strategic plan, new communication methods include a quarterly newsletter for producers, an annual open day, seminars, training courses, more technical publications and a web-site with information on current projects under way at the unit, according to MLC pig technical manager Pinder Gill.
"One of our aims will be to help average producers improve to the same level of efficiency as our top third units. The unit will also meet the needs of progressive producers with new techniques to take them forward," said Dr Gill. *
