Monsanto chews over gum sale
LIFE science giant Monsanto, which is in the process of merging with Pharmacia & Upjohn, is to sell its edible gum business.
This will be sold off in a joint venture with chemicals group Hercules.
Monsanto will also sell part of its controversial agricultural division which produces genetically modified technology in its US$23 billion merger with Pharmacia & Upjohn.
