More milk protein
DAIRY producers could come one step nearer producing designer milk to specified fat and protein contents if work at the Centre of Dairy Research (CEDAR) lives up to early expectations.
That was the message from Prof David Beever, director of CEDAR and chair of animal science and production at Reading University, to a recent conference.
Results of the CEDAR research will not be available until the summer. But they promised "exciting possibilities for increasing milk protein contents by up to 0.3%-0.4%", said Prof Beever. *
