Mower kit finds job for old harvesters

OLD self-propelled forage harvesters dont die – they become self-propelled mowers. That is if Opico has its way.

The company, based at Bourne, Lincs, is now offering its Niemeyer DYNO triple-section disc mower complete with all the necessary components to allow it to be fitted to any breed of forager – a kit which also includes a three-point linkage, 1000rpm pto and hydraulic control.

Working widths of either 7.5m or 8.3m – depending on model – enables work rates of up to 12ha/hour, says Opico. Prices start at £19,874. &#42
