SEEN on the Lely demonstration plot for the first time was the companys range of Splendimo mowers and mower conditioners – a range which includes tractor mounted models offering working widths from 2.05m to 3.2m and a 3.2m trailed version.
Key feature of the new range is the design of the cutting bed which is now capable of cutting closer to the ground. Newly shaped discs positioned in front of the cutter bars centre are claimed to ensure optimum cutting height.
On the conditioning front, Lely employs a bank of nylon flails with the level of conditioning adjusted by regulating the crop inlet plate.
An optional windrow kit has deflector fins positioned in the hood to divert the crop back over almost the full width of the mower.
