MP seeks crisis meeting with Lord Sewel
CLYDESDALE MP Jimmy Hood is seeking a meeting with Scottish Office agriculture minister Lord Sewel to discuss the crisis in the industry.
Mr Hood said there was a feeling of insecurity in rural areas, especially among the young generation. He said he was concerned at the way the government was regarded by the farming community.
The MP was speaking after a tour of farms in Lanarkshire.
