Natural pessaries for clean insides

HELP cows cleanse without antibiotics by using pessaries which contain a combination of natural ingredients, says Bimeda.

Bimeda recommends placing its Natri-Klenz pessaries in a cows uterus routinely after calving, removing a retained placenta or after an abortion.

The pessaries, which are in a soluble gelatine form, are said to have a germicidal and antiseptic effect to aid cleansing and restore the uterus to health after calving.

Tubs of 36 Natri-Klenz pessaries are available from vets. Treatment costs about £2.70 a cow (0800-526769, fax 0151-549-1096).
