New chippers roll in for green waste work

THIS year has seen a steady stream of new chippers arriving on the market to meet the expanding green waste recycling business.

Latest models on offer from Northants-based B-Trac Equipment include the BC150, BC1000XL and BC1400.

Powered by a 35hp Kubota engine, the BC150 chops material using a 772mm diameter cutting wheel with two sided knives running at 1550rpm.

Weighing in at 1352kg, the BC150 has a 150mm x 223mm feed opening and a Smart Feed system.

Next up the chipper tree is the 54hp BC1000Xl which employs a drum and knife system to chop material offered through a 300mm x 430mm feed opening.

Claimed to be quiet in operation, the chipper features a discharge spout that can be rotated through 270deg.

For serious chipping jobs, B-Trac has introduced the BC1400, a model powered by a 122hp Cat engine which drives a 570mm diameter cutting drum at 1825rpm.

Fitted with a 510mm x 360mm feed opening and a 202lt fuel tank, the chipper can shred material at a rate of up to 37m/min, claims B-Trac. Prices are available on request. &#42
