PIG producers considering holding on to old or cull sows due to low prices can buy weaner gilts in a new-for-old offer from Cotswold.

The company has set up the offer, where producers pay the same for weaner gilts as they got for their cull sows, to encourage the industry to keep herd numbers up and sow parities in balance. It says the offer will run for as long as the cull sow price remains low.
