New Forest Dear Hunt calls it a day

THE New Forest Dear Hunt, one of Britains oldest hunts running for more than 900 years, has called it a day.

The hunt took place on Forestry Commission land and there were rumours that ministers would have revoked the hunts licence soon.

It follows a decision earlier this year by the National Trust to ban stag hunting on its land and the introduction of a private members bill to outlaw the hunting of wild animals with hounds.
