LAMMA 2000 – the Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Associations annual machinery event – takes place at the Newark Showground on 19/20 Jan.

A new millennium and, for the organisers – a new record. This years event features over 200 exhibitors – 30 more than last year making it the biggest event ever.

Lamma started in 1982 with the aim of bringing to wider attention the many products manufactured by the countys local agricultural engineers. Since then, the event has grown in stature to the point that exhibits from virtually all UK manufacturers are now welcomed.

But the event has not lost its core mandate, which is to provide a low cost exhibition for standholders and free entry and parking for visitors. It is a formula which clearly works.

There may be many uncertainties in farming. Lamma 2000 could focus minds on the routes to agricultural survival.
