New rhizo finds

RHIZOMANIA has been found on over 1000ha (2470 acres) of previously uninfected land so far this season, significantly more than had been expected. MAFF inspections revealed the big upswing in infection, taking the total to 3800ha (9390 acres).

All the new outbreaks are within the original affected regions of East Anglia. However, eight new farms have been identified, including the first case of rhizomania on organic soil.
