New Wiseman plant

WORK began this week on Robert Wiseman Dairies new £30m dairy in Droitwich near Birmingham.

The plant should be operational by next spring and will be capable of processing 400m litres of milk a year, providing employment for about 500 people.

Robert Wiseman, the firms managing director, said the Droitwich factory – which will concentrate on processing and packing liquid milk for supermarkets – would be the most modern dairy facility in Europe.

It is the most recent addition to the East Kilbride-based companys 16 depots and dairies from Aberdeen to Wolverhampton and will give Wiseman about 20% share of the UK milk market. &#42
