NEWS BRIEF: David Miliband to move from DEFRA to Foreign Office

David Miliband has been confirmed as the new foreign secretary replacing Margaret Beckett – his predecessor at DEFRA – at the Foreign Office.

Gordon Brown, who finally became Prime Minister on Wednesday (27 June), is expected to announce details of Mr Miliband’s replacement and the shape of the rest of the DEFRA team later today.
