NMR offers early cell count service
RECEIVE notification of high cell count cows 24 hours earlier than is now possible with a new service offered by NMR.
From this week, customers can register for notification of the 10 highest cell count cows in their herd, immediately after the lab test, directly to their mobile phones.
"Often just a few cows will be responsible for pushing up the herd average cell count," says NMRs Catherine Smith. "The new text messaging service offers early notification of these offending cows so producers can deal with the problem immediately."
Producers will receive a text message with the cows line number and monthly cell count. Cost is £2 a month (0845-766 0236). *
