No ag-chem joy for Israeli group

AGROCHEMICALS have become a key business operation for Israels Koor Industries, but the company is still waiting for that promise to show in its results.

The group said the costs of the restructuring of its operations sent net income plummeting more than 90% in 1998.

Net income dropped from $127.4 milllion to $11.1m (£6.8m), on revenues slightly off at $3.03bn.
