‘No turmoil at Milk Marque’

AFTER reading the FWi headline on the subject of the resignation of the Milk Marque chief executive, I am surprised that it says “Milk Marque was thrown into turmoil yesterday”.

I work for Milk Marque and can confirm that we are not in turmoil – in fact apart from the effects of the strength of Sterling things are going very well.

Yes, the price is not as good as we want for our members, but plans are under way to correct this to some degree – a Sterling/DM level of 2.50 would help, but that is the market.

If any members read this, please do not worry; your company is still heading very firmly in the right direction and, once the MMC inquiry is over, your decision to work together with other farmers will be vindicated.

I am personally fed up with the press putting negative spin on Milk Marque issues. Take my advice – believe your company, not the press.
