North Korean food crisis deepens

North Koreas food crisis is expected to get worse as droughts extend into the planting season.

Areas on the east coast of the country have had no rain for three months.

The south-western area that produces the bulk of North Koreas agricultural output had had less than half its usual rain.

North Korea has suffered five years of droughts, floods and tidal waves, which have decimated its farm industry.
