November deadline for ACCS
GROWERS have until Nov 30 to get farms verified under the Assured Combinable Crops Scheme.
The move is in response to major delays to on-farm visits caused by foot-and-mouth disease. However, farms yet to be verified for harvest 2001 can only sell grain from this harvest as ACCS assured after they have been verified, notes the scheme organiser.
Inspections conducted for this harvest will not be valid for harvest 2002, which will require a separate inspection. *
