Now spare air keeps flat tyre inflated

CONNECTING a valved pipe between a flat tyre and the vehicles spare can prevent the inconvenience of punctured rubber from turning into a crisis.

The theory is simple: Air from the spare is used to inflate the flat by connecting the Airspare tube to both wheels, and opening the air tap. The device is particularly suited to use in rough terrain where jacking the vehicle may be awkward and unsafe.

Linkline Solutions says its puncture solution works on all but the most damaged tyres, and should give enough inflation to get the vehicle back to the farm or to a local garage. Price of Airspare is £13 (01780-482868).
