On the road with MAFF
On the road with MAFF
FARMING has seldom been under such pressure. The economic outlook is tough, the political background complex and public perception poor.
To help farmers cope MAFF is staging a series of regional roadshows in association with farmers weekly.
The events draw upon experiences gleaned by the Integrated Arable Crop Production Alliance, which represents seven key organisations involved in the research, development and promotion of integrated farming.
At the 1999 Farming Dilemma roadshows this November, IACPA speakers will explain the practical opportunities for adjusting soil management, crop protection, crop nutrition and environmental management.
A presentation from a local farmer who uses integrated farming will also feature.
For details contact the event co-ordinator (020 7921 1158).
