Opico moves into continuous dryers

OPICO has moved into the continuous flow drier market with four models from the US-made M-C range.

With capacities from 5t-18t/hour, they are considered by the company to be suited to the increasing number of larger farm operations in the UK.

Smaller M-C models are sold as the Opico 500 QS and the 900 QS. Respective capacities are 5t and 9t/hr and they are fitted with a single quiet centrifugal fan which supplies air to both the heating and cooling zones.

Larger models, the 12t/hour 1200 QT and 18t/hour 1800 QT have two fans, one for each sector.

All models feature a steel feed roll pan and electronic Moisture-Matic Thermistor control for ease of management.

On the mobile dryer front, Opicos latest additions include the 775 and 795 models which have a 16t holding capacity, 33% more than the largest model in the range.

Throughput is claimed to be 5t/hour and, to ensure airflow is evenly matched to holding capacity, the models feature an enlarged plenum chamber. Their internal structure has also been strengthened.

A digital control monitor (DCM) is fitted to the 795, and standard specification on both models includes a hydraulic discharge.

Prices start at £21,442. &#42
