Organic AAs reach 1200gns at Perth

THE Cophurst herd of organically-farmed Aberdeen-Angus cattle was dispersed for David Bullock at Perth, achieving a top price of 1200gns.

This was paid for a five-year-old in-calf cow by Eagle of Cubbyhill. The cow, Bessie of Glaisdale, was bought by Kenneth Scowcroft Farms, Windermere. The same buyers also paid 1000gns for two females carrying the Tegsnose prefix and gave another 1000gns for the maiden heifer Jelorinda Erica V6 of Town Park, a Cambussbarron Jacet Eric daughter.

AVERAGES: 11 cows and calves £797 and 11 heifers in-calf £566. (United Auctions).
