Organic producer drive
ORGANIC milk producers will receive a 30p/litre flat rate payment as part of a new drive by the Milk Group to promote production and processing of the product to meet increasing customer demand.
The group is also offering an advisory service and financial support during conversion, as well as opportunities for profit sharing. Over 20 members are in the process of converting, says director, Geoff Vickers.
"We are urgently seeking new members and welcome inquiries from any producer thinking about conversion, in the course of conversion or already supplying organic milk." *
