YOUNG farmers have hit out at the lack of consideration given to new entrants within the Agenda 2000 package. Peter Morris, National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs chairman, said it was ridiculous that new entrants had been left out in the cold when a quarter of the EUs farmers were now over 65 years old. EU average life expectancy is just 77.
