Over-subscribed suckler business?
I FEAR for the future of the long-established suckler beef farmer,
With all these small dairy farmers putting oof their dairies and buying into the suckler cow trade, what is going to be the long-term future of the established herd?
After fighting off the badness that was BSE, the suckler producer now has to fight off all this new money coming into the marketplace, and will therefore not be able to compete.
I hope to be proved wrong, but I doubt it!
