Palestines crops rot after Israeli ban

THE World Bank said crops were rotting because Palestinian farmers had been stopped from harvesting them.

Closures were imposed on the West Bank and Gaza after the double suicide-bombing of a Jerusalem market in July. Palestinians have been prevented from farming their land and from selling their produce.

Now Israel is starting to ease the closures, and some groups will be allowed in.
