Pesticide warning

MAFF is reminding farmers of the penalties they face if they break the rules governing the use and disposal of pesticides.

It highlights a recent case of a farming company which was fined following a breach of the regulations.

The firm was fined £2000 plus more than £3000 in costs after a member of the public reported to the Farming and Rural Conserva-tion Agency that their pet dog had fallen seriously ill after coming into contact with a pile of grass clippings containing slug pellets. &#42
