Pressure mounts for Cunningham
to approve badger snaring
AGRICULTURE minister Jack Cunningham must decide in the next few weeks whether to approve the snaring of thousands of badgers.
Farmers say they can prove a link between badgers and tuberculosis in cattle. But critics are worried it will only increase crime against wildlife and mean the death of 10% of the badger population over five years.
