Prince of Wales backs GM scientist

THE Prince of Wales believes the scientist whose findings sparked the controversy over genetically modified (GM) food has been wrongly treated.

The Prince has told Dr Arpad Pusztai that he was badly treated by the scientific establishment and deserves an apology.

Dr Pusztai, was suspended by Rowett Research Institute over remarks made on a television programme, visited the Prince at his country house.
