PROCESSING & MARKETING GRANTS SCHEME England and Wales

Eligibility

The scheme is open to sole traders, companies, collaborative marketing groups of primary producers and individual producers who want to process and market their own produce (20% of raw material must be obtained from others).

Priority will be given to small or medium-sized enterprises.

Objectives

A viable outlet must have been identified for the output of the project. It must also meet one or more of the following objectives:

&#8226 Guide production in line with foreseeable market trends.

&#8226 Encourage the development of new outlets for agricultural products.

&#8226 Improve or rationalise

marketing channels.

&#8226 Improve or rationalise

processing procedures.

&#8226 Achieve better use or elimination of by-products or waste.

&#8226 Apply innovation or new

technologies.

&#8226 Improve and monitor produce quality.
