‘Public must be protected from bulls’

A FARM safety expert told Lanark Sheriff Court that the public had to protected from bulls, which were unpredictable and likely to kill.

Kenneth Fall, a principal agriculture inspector with the Health and Safety Executive, was giving evidence at a hearing following the death of Wilson Cowan, of Abington, Lanarkshire, who died after being attacked by a bull.

The owners of the bull deny charges that they failed to ensure it was securely fenced.
