Putting boot into crop establishment snags

AN ability to kick crop establishment problems into touch is how Farm Force bills its new Boot-mate mounted drill combination.

Built in 3m to 6m widths, the drill employs a Boot coulter claimed to enable high speed accurate single pass sowing.

According to Farm Force, the coulter works well on heavy land and, in trashy conditions, does not become blocked.

To reduce wear costs, the coulter can be reversed using a quick release cam system.

In front of the three rows of coulters is a single row of rigid tines and, bringing up the rear, a packer roller and S-tine harrow.

The coulters receive seed pneumatically from a 1000 litre hopper which is metered by a land wheel. &#42

Available with optional hydraulic fan drive, a 3m Boot-mate costs £12,850.
