Range of uses for portable compressor

INFLATING, spraying and greasing are three possible applications for a range of portable compressors which can also be used to operate pneumatic tools.

The Hobbycraft compressors, from Ingersoll-Rand, are available in two formats – direct-drive oil-lubricated and direct-drive oil-less.

Oil-lubricated models come in two sizes, 1.5 and 2.0hp. The three 1.5hp models have air receiver capacities of 2.2, 5.3 and 11 litres/min, while the more powerful 2hp versions use tanks with 5.3 and 11 litres/min.

Oil-less models also come in 1.5 and 2hp sizes and have receiver capacities of up to 11 litres/min.

Both receiver ranges can be supplied with an accessory starter kit comprising spray guns, tyre inflator, coiled hose and blow cleaning guns. Hobbycraft prices start from £270 (0800-282040).
